Cologne ND

Ok, so I saw this photo, when searching for different photographs using ND filters. I really like this photograph, however I wanted to add a critique and point out some things, which I would improve. Firstly though, I will start by stating what I like. I really love the colours in this photograph, and the kind of orangey/peachy cast, which is thrown over the photograph. I also like the plain water on the left hand side of the frame and the points of interest lying on the right hand side. There is an interesting unbalance in the frame, but I think that this works in this particular photograph.

So, now onto the bits that I would improve or change. First of all, I would crop in from the top of the photograph, because I think that there is simply too much plain space in the sky. Especially because the sky itself does not really carry much detail. Next time, I would also frame a tiny bit differently, to add a little more details into the photo.

Other than that - Well done!! Fantastic image! And remember to have fun with your new ND!
